Shade Solutions

Patio Furniture

There are many shade solutions to assist us in enjoying our backyards and decks. The most common reason for shade is to protect our skin from harmful UV rays. It seems when we are ready to enjoy our time outdoors having a tea, relaxing or dining the sun seems to be beating down on us.

There are a variety of shade solutions made possible. Traditional table umbrella’s are the first on our minds. Traditionally, 7.5′ and 9′ umbrella’s were the standard size. Now available are over-sized table umbrella’s  including 10′ and 11′. The newest design is an 8′x11′ rectangular umbrella.

Cantilever umbrella’s, which are offset from the tables, offer much larger sizes and coverage a larger surface. These umbrella’s work well over patio furniture sets, lounge chairs and spa’s. Again, the industry standard was about a 10′ round or square with limited range. Today, we have come a long way and the cantilever umbrella sizes have increased to massive 13′.

Cantilever umbrella’s typically moved vertically and you would position the umbrella behind the sun. Our newest designs have a rotating pivot which allows you to move 360 degrees and cover much more space. Moreover, the latest umbrella tilt technology is employed and you can virtually set your umbrella at various degrees beating the sun.

Awnings have been and will always be part of our casual furniture industry. Now you can customize your awning to meet the exact size of your space. You can choose from an endless selection of fabrics that are all weather, add a motor, side panel, and aluminum all weather covers.

Gazebo’s are always a favourite. Standard with our gazebos is mosquito netting and side privacy panels. Be creative and add some outdoor lighting or a fan to your gazebo. There are always a selection of sizes available including 10′x10′, 10′x14, 12′x12′ to list a few.
